Etude are currently acting as Passivhaus/Low Energy consultants on this East Ham development comprising of 48 homes split into affordable & family housing, shared ownership and accessible flats. Three of the scheme’s blocks (B, C & D) are new-build, whilst Block A is a listed building retrofit.

Etude has been working closely with the architect to ensure  fabric optimisation to achieve compliance with the energy targets set for each building; as well as holding workshops  to provide understanding on the importance of key junctions and their impact on the building’s future performance.

Block B is seeking to achieve Passivhaus Certification, whilst the houses (blocks C & D) the PHI Low Energy Standard due to their form factor limitations. Due to its listed status, Block A is limited to achieve stringent criteria, nonetheless aims to achieve 73% improvement over Part L1A 2013.
