Delivering Net Zero – An evidence base

18 London boroughs came together to commission this evidence base for net zero planning policy, a result of an exemplary collaboration between Levitt Bernstein, Introba, Inkling, Currie and Brown and Etude

The study reviewed two alternative policy directions for emerging Local Plans. Policy option 1 is based on Part L modelling and the existing Part L framework. Policy option 2 is based on predictive energy modelling and energy-based metrics: space heating demand, energy use intensity (EUI) and renewable energy generation.

Eight different building typologies (four domestic and four non-domestic) were modelled, each for 24 different combinations of specifications.
