Goldsmith Street

102 homes for a local authority designed by Mikhail Riches Architects and built by RG Carters. The design seeks to provide sunny, light filled homes with very low fuel bills of approximately £150 per year. The scheme won the 2019 RIBA Stirling Prize.

Will South was the Passivhaus certifier for this development. The scheme is one of the largest Passivhaus developments in the UK. We carried out design and calculation reviews as part of the Passivhaus quality assurance process, and provided technical support during construction, including construction quality site visits.
